My work is my personal homage to the beauty I find daily in nature, alongside an obsession for collecting, old unusual and quite often discarded objects found along the way. I try to create surreal scenes that capture and question the imagination. My general approach involves creating illusion, what may appear a straightforward image, on closer inspection, is clearly a creative impression, an artistic manifestation.
The natural world has always been an inspiration to my work and over the years I have become fascinated with mans effect on nature and his belief that it can always be improved. This has led me to look into the genetics of plants and animals and to explore hybridization.
However brutal man can be towards the natural world, eventually and slowly, nature finds a way back!
